Raffael Comesaña was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. His law degrees were obtained at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (LL.B.) and Universidad de La Laguna (J.D.). For the Ministry of Finance, he held the position of County Auditor in Tenerife (5 years) and Regional Auditor in Malaga (14 years). In 2006 he was selected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to direct the Consular Section of Spain in Taipei, from which he moved to San Francisco on 2011 as a Chancellor at the Consulate General of Spain.

A new additional program offered by the YDC is "Thirsty Thursday", a "no host" social gathering offered to YDC members and guests.
Honorary Chair of this series of social events is Sietze Vermeulen, Senior Officer Communications & Public Diplomacy, Consulate General of the Netherlands. Welcome Sietze and thanks for your great idea!

Our next "Thirsty Thursday" event is:
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2017, 5:30pm onward
The Jones
620 Jones Street @ Geary
San Francisco CA 94102 (4 blocks from Union Square)

Subsequent events will be held the FIRST THURSDAY of each month. Future locations will be announced through our private "Meetup" account.
If as a YDC member you are not yet registered, please go to this link and we will approve you.

YDC will furnish complimentary bites. You pay for your own drinks. It is okay to bring friends and no need to R.s.v.p. for Thirsty Thursdays. Just show up for some fun conversation and an opportunity to get to know your consular corps colleagues.
