| The Young Diplomats Club of San Francisco |
The Young Diplomats Club of San Francisco (YDC) launched April 15, 2009. It is a private not-for-profit organization, whose launch was endorsed by the former Dean of the San Francisco Consular Corps, The Honorable Marc LePage of Canada. The intent of the YDC is to serve as a networking social group whose purpose is to pursue international cooperation, trade opportunities, cultural exchange, and to promote the art of diplomacy. Participation is open only to the San Francisco Consular Corps and foreign mission consular officers, staff and spouses or partners. The YDC was founded by Sherri Ferris, President and CEO of Protocol Professionals, Inc. It is supported by many Bay Area companies and sponsors. Special thanks to YDC team members: Joyce Millet, Evren Sarac Essner, Ruth Levy, Donna Turnauer, Marjorie Fulbright, Francisco Kilgore, and Liz and Mark Todd, who have given generously of their time and talents. |

| Sandrine Scheller is leading institutional relations and communications at the Consulate General of Luxembourg in San Francisco (Trade & Investment Office). She brings a lot of expertise and energy having worked with Luxembourg Ministerial, Monarchy, Space Agency and Faculty visits, startup programs and networking events. Sandrine is also passionate about cultural affairs and connects Luxembourg films and artists with the US West Coast. Before moving to California, she was a seconded national expert at the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium and appointed to the Luxembourg Central Bank on financial stability topics. Message from Sandrine Scheller: "I am deeply honored and thrilled to be your new YDC Honorary Chair and to collaborate with Sherri and her wonderful team. The YDC is a fantastic opportunity to bring together diplomats and consular staff and share our experiences from all over the world. I made very good friends during past YDC events and we helped each other out on many challenging projects in Silicon Valley and beyond." |
